Terms & Conditions
A legal disclaimer
This workshop provides educational training on financial concepts and frameworks for product leaders. It is not financial, legal, or business advice, and we make no guarantees about outcomes or results. You are responsible for how you apply what you learn. By participating, you acknowledge that any business decisions you make are your own, and Meridian Partners is not liable for any losses, damages, or consequences resulting from your use of workshop content. If you need specific professional advice for your situation, consult a qualified advisor.
Terms & Conditions - the basics
This is the agreement between you (the person or company booking a spot) and us (Meridian Partners, the people running the workshop). By joining the waitlist or booking a ticket, you're agreeing to these terms. Read them. They're not complicated.
Booking & Payment
Waitlist
-
Joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee you a spot. It gets you first access when early bird booking opens.
-
Being on the waitlist doesn't commit you to anything. No payment, no obligation.
When Booking Opens
-
You'll get an email with a booking link and pricing.
-
Payment is required to secure your spot.
-
Spots are limited to 25 participants. First come, first served.
-
Once you pay, your spot is confirmed.
Payment Terms
-
Full payment is due at the time of booking.
-
We accept card payments through our payment processor.
-
You'll get a receipt via email.
Cancellations & Refunds
If You Cancel
-
More than 30 days before the workshop: Full refund, no questions asked.
-
15-30 days before: 50% refund.
-
Less than 15 days before: No refund, but you can transfer your ticket to someone else (just let us know who).
If We Cancel
-
If we have to cancel the workshop for any reason, you get a full refund. No exceptions.
-
We'll give you as much notice as possible.
Transfers
-
You can transfer your ticket to another person anytime before the workshop starts.
-
Just email us their details at least 48 hours before the event.
Workshop Format
In-Person
-
Location will be confirmed closer to the date (depends on which companies book).
-
If you book in-person and we can't secure a venue, we'll offer you a virtual spot or full refund.
Virtual
-
You'll get a Zoom link (or similar) 48 hours before the workshop.
-
You need a stable internet connection and a device with camera/audio.
-
We're not responsible if your tech doesn't work.
Materials
-
You'll get digital copies of all workshop materials (templates, calculators, glossary, playbook).
-
These are for your personal use. Don't redistribute them commercially.
What We Provide
-
A full-day workshop (approximately 6-7 hours including breaks).
-
Practical frameworks, templates, and tools.
-
Access to both facilitators (Alyx and Rebecca).
-
A financial glossary and resource pack.
We don't provide:
-
Lunch (though we'll point you to nearby options for in-person).
-
Certificates or formal qualifications (this isn't accredited training).
-
One-on-one consulting after the workshop (though if you want to hire us separately, let's talk).
Your Responsibilities
Show Up
-
Be on time. We start when we say we start.
-
If you're virtual, test your tech beforehand.
Participate
-
This is a working session, not a lecture. You'll be building business cases and doing exercises.
-
Come prepared to share examples from your work (nothing confidential, obviously).
Be Respectful
-
Don't be a dick to other participants or the facilitators.
-
Respect people's time and the learning environment.
Confidentiality
-
What other participants share stays in the room (or Zoom).
-
Don't share other people's business examples or details publicly.
Our Responsibilities
We'll Show Up
-
We'll deliver the workshop as described.
-
If one of us can't make it due to illness or emergency, we'll find a qualified replacement or offer you a refund/reschedule.
We'll Protect Your Data
-
We'll use your email and payment info only for this workshop.
-
We won't sell your details to anyone.
-
We use standard security measures to protect your information.
-
You can ask us to delete your data anytime after the workshop. Email us.
We Won't Record You
-
We don't record workshop sessions.
-
If we want to take photos for marketing, we'll ask permission first.
Liability
What We're Responsible For
-
Delivering the workshop as advertised.
-
Providing accurate information to the best of our knowledge.
What We're Not Responsible For
-
How you apply what you learn (or if you apply it at all).
-
Your business decisions after the workshop.
-
Results or outcomes from using our frameworks.
-
Any indirect losses (like lost revenue or missed opportunities).
This is education, not consulting. We're teaching you frameworks. What you do with them is on you.
Limitation If something goes wrong and it's our fault, the most we'll pay you is what you paid for your ticket. That's it.
Intellectual Property
Our Stuff
-
All workshop content, frameworks, templates, and materials are our intellectual property.
-
You can use them for your own work. You can't resell them, redistribute them, or pass them off as yours.
Your Stuff
-
Any examples or case studies you share remain yours.
-
By participating, you're not giving us any rights to your work.
Changes to Terms
We might update these terms. If we do, we'll email you before the workshop with the updated version.
If you don't like the changes, you can cancel and get a refund (as long as you're still within the refund window).
Changes to the Workshop
Content Changes
-
We might adjust the exact content or schedule slightly as we refine the workshop.
-
The core promise stays the same: teaching you P&L fundamentals and how to speak CFO.
Date/Time Changes
-
If we need to change the date, we'll give you at least 30 days notice.
-
You can accept the new date or get a full refund.
Disputes
If Something Goes Wrong
-
Email us first: [your contact email]
-
We'll try to sort it out like adults.
If That Doesn't Work
-
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
-
Any disputes go through the courts in England and Wales.
The Fine Print
Entire Agreement
-
This is the whole deal. There are no verbal promises or side agreements.
Severability
-
If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
No Waiver
-
If we don't enforce something once, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to enforce it later.
Force Majeure
-
If something genuinely out of our control happens (pandemic, natural disaster, zombie apocalypse), we're not liable. We'll reschedule or refund you.
